This is the part where I tell you about me and I will, but before I do, I want to make it clear that any agent in our office is a true professional; each will do an outstanding job and never drop the ball, or puck, so to speak. Our Exit Metro family of real estate professionals is a great team. We work together and help each other get things done, and that, makes our clients very happy. Every one of us has certain skills or capabilities that may make us “the perfect fit” for you. I guess that’s the coach in me coming out. I trust our team because I know them. That said, I am a seasoned real estate professional who will handle your business with precision and will make your experience great. Now here are some more stats.
I have played professional hockey for a good part of my life, I loved the game and still do. Here is a summary taken from a magazine:
Allison played four years in the Western Hockey League and was the Edmonton Oilers first pick in the 1990 NHL draft (17th overall). He spent five seasons in the American Hockey League with the Cape Breton Oilers and PEI Senators, where he won the Calder Cup in 1993 with Cape Breton. He also spent one season in the International Hockey League and seven seasons playing professional hockey overseas in Europe and won six championships (1997-2000) in England with the Sheffield Steelers. Allison completed his professional career in the Central Hockey League with the Wichita Thunder as a player assistant coach.
Every sport certainly has it glorious moments and painful moments, both physically and mentally, but no matter what you play, you play on a team. Somebody helps you and you help them. Even if you play alone, like tennis, you have a trainer and a manager and you guessed it, a team.
When I decided on a new career direction, I looked at real estate because it has a lot of the values and beliefs that sport engrained in me. Winning is important, but do it with respect and civility. Work with the team, and together, and the achievement is greater and lasting. Tough as hockey can be, family and values come first; you may be a star, but everyone needs to be heard and appreciated. Finally, as I don’t want to go on too much, morals and ethics must be the cornerstone of everything you do, or don’t do it.
I will always look you in the eye, because I am, we are Canadians and we get the job done.
My career with Exit Realty Metro is great; I enjoy meeting people and I enjoy the work. Resale homes and condominiums, in and around HRM, are my speciality. For the last three years, Exit International awarded me a bronze designation for production in gross sales. This award tells my clients that I can sell their property, and that, makes me very proud. I have the privilege to be among the top 5 per cent of agents in Atlantic Canada for the last two years. My reputation, as a strong negotiator with a great record of results and successes, keeps me in that top 5 per cent.
My passion for hockey keeps me very active in the local community, working with the future players of our beloved game through Halifax minor hockey. Progress Club and Boy Scouts let me contribute my time and energy to more faces of the future. I also volunteer my time to Dalhousie University as an assistant coach to the men’s varsity hockey team.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I was born out west, in Winnipeg, and I have played and lived in many places. My wife Michelle and I chose Halifax, and Nova Scotia, to raise our three children. We could not imagine a better place than our home by the sea.
